Best Beauty Products for Summer

In summer, it's all about natural makeup, wavy hair and bronze glows. The best way to achieve this look is a holiday. But let's be honest, we want it even before we hit the beach. I have found some amazing beauty products that I swear by, which will make your beach prep easy and have fast results!

The first step to getting holiday ready is fake tan. When I apply a fresh tan, my mood is instantly boosted. My favourite tan to use is Palmer's Cocoa Butter Natural Bronze Instant. This product is easy to apply and sinks into the skin quickly, meaning you can put it on before going out, so don't have to worry about waiting overnight and rinsing it off in the morning! It gives me an instant tan which isn't too dark and I can build it over a couple of days if I want a more intense look, which I do when I'm on holiday! The great thing about this tan is that I don't need to use a mitt to apply it. I simply apply it as I would a normal moisturiser and let it sink in. Just make sure to wash your hands after use!



My next holiday beauty essential is highlighter. I always think life is better with a little sparkle. Or a lot of sparkle! Highlighter is the best way to add subtle glitter into your beauty regime. During summer I like to keep my makeup light and glowy. I think a liquid highlight is a great option in summer. You can apply it onto the high points of your face, so you shimmer when the sun hits, and you can also apply it on your body. It looks really pretty to add some shimmer to your collar bones, shoulders and the tops of your legs if you are wearing a mini skirt or shorts. One of my go to liquid highlights is the NYX Born to Glow Liquid Illuminator. It's easy to blend and comes in a couple of different shades depending on what best suits your skin tone.




Taking care of your skin and protecting it from the sun is vital. You should be using an SPF on your skin every day, even when it doesn't seem sunny. On an everyday basis I like to use the Olay Everyday Sunshine. It has an SPF of 15 and gives your skin a subtle gradual tan as you use it. For when its sunny, I love to use the Nivea Sun Protect and bronze. It protects your skin while still allowing it to naturally tan. Another area which many people forget in summer is that your lips can burn too! So, don't forget to use a lip balm every day which has an SPF in it! Carmex lip balms have SPF 15, so these are a great option.




My last summer essential is tropical body sprays. I love the Victoria's Secret Body Sprays, especially in summer, as they are fresh and fruity. There is a huge array of scents to choose from. Some of my favourites include; Mango Temptation, Coconut Passion and Pure Seduction. All of these amazing fragrances have matching body lotions too and are now much easier to get a hold of if you live in the UK!

A Perfect Spring Getaway

A Perfect Spring Getaway After a busy few months, I was ready for a quiet, relaxed getaway to the beach. Somewhere I can do everything, and nothing at all. Well, Portavadie Marina provided me with that much needed break. Hidden on Argyll’s Secret Coast, with views onto Loch Fyne, this beautiful marina ticks all the boxes for a relaxing holiday. The start of my trip included snow. Yes, it’s April! Despite this, the snow soon stopped and it began to feel a little more like Spring! As soon as I arrived, I headed straight to the beautiful infinity pool and hot tub which looks onto Loch Fyne.  I loved relaxing in the sun and warmth.  Although it was chilly outside, I couldn’t tell as the water was so warm and lovely!
